Kate & Russ' Wedding in NYC Central Park Slideshow

It was absolutely AMAZING to have the opportunity of a lifetime to shoot in NYC's central park. It is (now I can say "was") a long time dream of mine. As long as I can remember of being a photographer, I have always said to myself "one day Augie, one day I will shoot a beautiful wedding in Central Park". Now I can say I did. Thanks to my generous and wonderful couple - Kate and Russ.

Kate and Russ had originally planned to get married in the bay area, but plans changed which took all the guests to NYC (including me and my team!). The weather, the crowd, New York city all came together for them on their beautiful wedding day. I am so pleased with the images that I am putting up their slideshow for you all to view. Enjoy!!

Jen & Karl's E-Session in Oakland Airport

Jen and Karl are getting married in the beautiful Cancun Mexico next January. The exciting thing about this wedding is ... not only did Jen and Karl hired me as their wedding photographer, they asked my good friend Jen Skog and I to tag team as their photographers on their BIG day! Yes! two primary photographers!! What an honor!! The exciting news does not stop here, they also hired the talented hair+makeup artist Maria Chang, whom will be there to make sure Jen is looking perfect at all time.

You will find this e-session pretty interesting overall. The reason is because we ended our shoot in the Oakland airport where Karl parks his plane! Who gets to shoot in the middle of an airport?! :)

11/14 Intro to Digital Photography PART 2 Workshop

Wow, what a day we had!! This was my last workshop for my wonderful 2009 so in order to accommodate all the interested students, we had a packed house! We had a total of 14 students, a beautiful model (Perri) and an assistant (Andy!). Let's just say it was so-MUCH-fun!

We started the day with a short lecture at my home studio. We sync-ed before we headed out for an all day in-the-field workshop.

We separated the large group into two smaller groups to demonstrate how to shoot "group shots".

Another way to demonstrate group shots, together as a group ...

and not so together as a group ...

Here I was showing the group what I did

This was done during one of the assignments. I couldn't resist flexing in front of the camera :)

We had a wonderful sunny day so we had lunch outside the patio

Here, I was explaining to the group how to work with a model.

Here is our beautiful model Perri. Thanks Perri for helping us out!

Just a few shots of what I did for Perri.

Showing the students how I shot the photo

And here is the result

Of course, a fun group shot!

I would like to thank Andy (my wonderful assistant) for taking most of these wonderful behind-the-scene photos. Also, want to thank Tom and Herman (students) for a few of them.

Amy and Kendall's Wedding

Another beautiful wedding at the sunny Casa Real in Pleasanton. No matter how many times I come back, I still enjoy the scenery, the staff and most of all, the food!!

Amy and Kendall opt-ed to see each other prior to their ceremony. It is very common these days for photographers to set up a "first meet" for the couple. There are definitely benefits to this arrangement.

Amy and Kendall, congratulations!

Great idea! set up a fun children's table to keep the kids occupied.

Here is my wonderful team - Vincent and Vero. Thanks guys for doing an awesome job and supporting me through my 2009 wedding season.
